PRIVO’s process also means that children are not initiating requests for parent verification and are therefore not sharing their parent’s personal information with requesting services. The flow of minors’ data is placed in the care of a neutral third party and used only for its authorized purpose. Subscribing companies are not collecting or receiving personal information about any protected device or associated minor, in the process of determining if the requesting user meets the company’s stated age requirement for access to the requested service.
