PRIVO does not collect more information than reasonably necessary for a child to participate in a given activity.
If a child begins the registration process for an account on a PRIVO-Lock enabled Online Service, such as a child-directed website or mobile app, or directly with PRIVO, on behalf of the PRIVO-enabled Online Service, PRIVO collects the child’s first name, date of birth, username, password and depending on the Online Service gender, grade, display name, and child email address if a parent email was provided to help remind them of their password if they forget.
A child may provide PRIVO with a parent email address or a PRIVO iD so that PRIVO can contact the parent to get verifiable consent to the child’s use of the PRIVO-Lock enabled Online Service. This information is not required and is not used for any other purposes before the parent gives permission for its use, however, the child may not (by law or the policies of the Online Service) be able to participate in all aspects of the Online Service (for example, chat or photo sharing) until PRIVO has secured verifiable parental consent. PRIVO does not collect more information than reasonably necessary for a child to participate in a given activity. The PRIVO-Lock enabled Online Service may collect additional information from your child and will disclose this to you in its privacy policy along with full disclosure within the service listing within the PRIVO directory and throughout the permission management screens presented to parents at the time consent is established.
